J&K CM Omar Abdullah lays stress on Himachal Pradesh-type laws to protect agricultural land
The Chief Minister noted that Himachal Pradesh has adopted a strict policy in this regard and stressed the adoption of a similar policy in J&K.

With a view to motivate and increase women’s participation in assembly polls in the state, 2 polling stations in each of 68 assembly constituencies would be manned by women in Himachal Pradesh.
Chief Electoral Officer Pushpendra Rajput said 136 all women managed polling station comprising 2 each in 68 assembly constituencies have been setup for the first time in the state.

“The decision has been taken to facilitate and encourage women for increasing their participation in the polls,” he s said.

Rajput said only women police personnel and all women employees would be deputed for duty at these polling stations.
