Four days after the cabinet expansion Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday allocated portfolios to 9 of his cabinet colleagues.

First-time CM (58), he has kept important portfolios including Finance, General Administration, Home, Planning, and Personnel with himself. All other departments not allotted to any other minister will also remain with him.

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri (60) has been given Jal Shakti Vibhag, Transport, Language, Arts and Culture.

The senior most ministers Col. Dhani Ram Shandil (82) has got the charge of Health and Family Welfare Minister. He has also been given the charge of Social Justice and Empowerment, Labour and Employment.

The youngest minister Vikramaditya Singh (32) son of former six-time CM Virbhadra Singh and MP and State Congress Chief Pratibha Singh has been inducted in the cabinet for the first time. He will be the Public Works Minister and will also hold the portfolio of Youth Services and Sports

Chander Kumar (78) will be the Agriculture Minister and will also take care of Animal Husbandry.

Harshwardhan Chauhan (58) has been given the departments of Industries Minister, Parliamentary Affairs and Ayush.

Jagat Singh Negi (65) has been allocated Revenue, Horticulture and  Tribal Development.

Rohit Thakur (48) will be the Education Minister and will look after Higher Education, Elementary Education, Technical Education and Industrial Training.

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj has been assigned to Anirudh Singh (45).

Mukesh Agnihotri, Col. Dhani Ram Shandil, Chander Kumar, Rohit Thakur have served as cabinet ministers in the previous Congress government led by former six-time Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.

While CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and his deputy had taken oath on December 11, his other cabinet colleagues were administered the oath of Office and secrecy on 8 January by Governor Rajinder Singh Alekar.
