Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the state would get seven new rail projects.
He made this announcement while addressing the people after unfurling the National Flag in Rohtak on the eve of Republic Day.

Khattar said the state government, in collaboration with the Railway Ministry, had constituted Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation which would work to further develop rail infrastructure in the state. The Corporation would prepare feasibility report on the new railway lines in 10 months.
He said that the seven new rail projects included Yamunanagar-Chandigarh via Naraingarh and Sadhaura, Delhi-Sohna-Nuh-Ferozpur Zhirka-Alwar, Farrukhnagar-Jhajjar-Charkhi Dadri, Jind-Hisar, Bhiwani-Loharu, Karnal-Yamunanagar and railway sliding project Manesar for Maruti Udyog.
while addressing people in Rewari at R-Day function, the Development and Panchayats Minister OP Dhankar announced that ‘7-Star Village scheme’ would be introduced to improve and strengthen the working of the Gram Panchayats in the state.Dhankar said under the scheme, best performing Gram Panchayats in each district would be identified in a systematic manner and awarded and incentivized.
Such Gram Panchayats would be recognized as ‘Indradhanush Gram Panchayats’ on the basis of their scores on all parameters. Such villages would get special grants for development works from the Panchayat Department.
Under the scheme, pink star would be given to such panchayats as work best in improving the sex ratio, green star for protection of environment, white star for cleanliness, saffron star for crime-free villages, sky colour star to the village which has no drop out, golden star for good governance, and silver star would be given for participation in the development of villages, he added.
He said villages receiving different star ratings would be honoured by the department on 23 March, 2018.
