Goa CM and Cabinet take holy dip at Triveni Sangam

On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parriiar on Saturday urged Goans to avoid using plastic bags.
“Let us celebrate the victory of good over evil by taking a small step towards a clean Goa, carry your own shopping bag and avoid using plastic,” Parrikar tweeted.

Dussehra or Vijaya Dashami, marks the culmination of the 10-day long Navratri festival, in which Goddess Durga is worshipped.

It is also believed to be the day when Lord Ram defeated Ravana, and is celebrated as a festival of victory of good on evil.
