Four students of a Noida college lost their lives and two suffered injuries in a car accident on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway on Tuesday morning near village Sharfabad of Chandinagar area in district Bagpat.

The students, all from Sharda University, were on their way to Noida from Himachal Pradesh when their car rammed into a truck on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

The deceased students have been identified as Kant Dheengra, Suhaib, Abhishek Soni and Karishma Dheengra.

The villagers who witnessed the accident immediately rushed for help and informed the police. All four students died on the spot and their bodies were taken out after cutting the body of the car.

SP, Baghpat, Shailesh Kumar Pandey said that the dead bodies have been sent for postmortem while the college has been informed about the mishap.

The two injured students were rushed to the hospital where their condition is stated to be stable.
