Samajwadi Secular Morcha (SSM) has been formed to give a platform to those who have been ignored, former Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Shivpal Yadav said at a public meeting in Budhana town of district Muzaffarnagar on Friday evening.
Addressing over two thousand people Shivpal Yadav said that he had to take the decision to keep his and his brother Mulayam Singh Yadav’s self-esteem intact. He claimed that before making an announcement of the Morcha he had met Mulayam Singh thrice, who gave him his blessings.

Rejecting the accusations that he was working on the directions of BJP, Yadav quipped that it is a baseless propaganda.
“The sole purpose of coming up with this Morcha is to provide a platform to the people who are feeling dejected and ignored,” he said.
He also accused the BJP government of not paying attention to the problems of the poor, the labourers and farmers and turning their backs on them.
