Delhi unit BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva, while reacting to the announcement of dates for the Delhi Legislative Assembly election 2025, on Tuesday expressed confidence that February 5 will be a historic day.
He claimed that over 1.55 crore voters in the national capital will participate in shaping a new, prosperous, and beautiful Delhi.

“We welcome the poll dates announced by the Election Commission,” Sachdeva stated.
Taking to social media platform X, the BJP leader predicted that after voting on February 5, a “double-engine government” will be formed in Delhi on February 8 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He claimed that the BJP’s victory, symbolized by the blooming lotus, would pave the way for the capital’s all-round development.
Welcoming the announcement of election dates, Sachdeva said, “I am happy that the Election Commission has not only announced this great festival of democracy but has also put an end to various baseless rumors by exposing false information.”
He further criticized those allegedly spreading misinformation and attempting to pressure electoral officials, claiming that the EC’s announcement had silenced such efforts.
The BJP leader highlighted the party’s ground-level work, including its outreach efforts to inform voters about the achievements of the central government and the benefits extended to the people.
He asserted that Delhi’s residents have resolved to replace the AAP government, accusing it of corruption, mismanagement, and irregularities.
“All of us Delhiites will move forward united with the resolve: ‘We will not endure disaster; we will change it.’ We heartily welcome and congratulate the announcement of election dates,” Sachdeva added.
