“The huge number of patients visiting the outdoor services in the hospital has prompted the district health department to start indoor services in the hospital,” hospital authorities said. “We will begin indoor services at the Falakata super specialty hospital within the next month.
The popularity of the outdoor services has motivated us to start indoor facilities in the hospital. We will initially start it with 100 beds. The number of beds will be increased later,” the deputy Chief Medical Officer of Health, Alipurduar, Subarna Goswami, said. “We also plan to establish a separate blood bank at the Super specialty hospital,” Mr Goswami added.
Meanwhile, people living in Falakata have appreciated the move of the district health department to start indoor services in the hospital. “Nearly 1200 to 1700 patients visit the outdoor facility of the hospital daily.
More than Rs 1 crore was spent to build the hospital. We very happy with the district health department’s initiative to start indoor service with 100 beds in the hospital,” Falakata MLA Anil Adhikary said.
