53 killed in massive 6.8 magnitude tremor in Tibet
At least 53 people were killed and over 60 others injured following a massive 6.8-magnitude earthquake in Dingri County in Xigaze City in the Tibet Autonomous Region on Tuesday.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale shook the Andaman Islands on Sunday, an official said. No casualties or damage was reported.
“An earthquake of magnitude of 4.5 hit Andaman Islands at about 20:05 hrs. No damage was done,” Andaman and Nicobar Chief Secretary Anindo Majumdar said.

The epicentre of the quake was in the islands region at a depth of 10km.

“It’s quite a normal phenomenon. There is nothing to fear,” he added.
