UP govt screens 27 lakh citizens in special campaign to eradicate TB by 2025
The Uttar Pradesh government has screened more than 27 lakh citizens as part of a comprehensive campaign to eliminate tuberculosis (TB) from Uttar Pradesh by 2025.
A video of on-duty Uttar Pradesh Police personnel showering money on dancers at an event in Unnao has surfaced in social media.
In the video, a police constable and an officer can be seen swaying to a Bollywood song and throwing money on the dancers. As per media reports, the two cops were deployed at the event to oversee the security.

In the video, which was captured by someone who attended the event, the police personnel can be seen inviting the dancers with currency. As dancers surround them, the cops shower money on them, while dancing along with them.

After the video went viral, it caught the attention of the authorities who sprung into action and suspended the two cops for their conduct.
As per media reports, a police officer was quoted as saying that the event takes place for three days every year. It is the responsibility of Unnao police to ensure security of the visitors on all three days. The two cops have been suspended and a probe is under way in the case.
