Natya Vriksha, its president dancer Geeta Chandran and the India International Centre, New Delhi have been marking the World Dance Day, on 27th & 28th April, for the last 15 years.
From talks, lectures, discussion, film screening, and workshops to performances by dancers, various activities related to dance form part of the event.

This year too will see workshops by Santosh Nair on the first day, a workshop on “rhythm” the following day by percussionist Manohar Balatchandirane, a special lecture by Amb Pavan K.Varma on “The glorious legacy of Indian Culture: Challenges and Opportunities.”
There will also be a presentation by senior dancer from Baroda, Rema Srikanth, on her personal journey in dance.In the evening, solo dance recitals from young and talented dancers from different parts of India will be seen along with many different activities specially curated for dance enthusiasts of Delhi.
The events will take place at the India International Centre on Saturday, 27 April and Sunday, 28 April.
The entry is open to all, on first-come-first-served basis. Registration will be requited to attend workshops.
