Uzbekistan holds first mixed-system parliamentary election
Uzbekistan began voting in its parliamentary and local council elections on Sunday, conducting its first use of a mixed electoral system.

The Guest of Honour on the occasion was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dilshod Akhatov. In his address, Akhatov complimented the school for the child-centric approach.

He underlined the cultural affinity shared by Uzbekistan and India and proposed to create partnership between the host school and schools in Uzbekistan towards the advancement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDPs).

Director of Springdales Schools, Dr. Jyoti Bose, during her welcome address, stressed the need to integrate peace education into our cultural life and school curriculum so that we could build reservoirs of HOPE and multiply our efforts towards human welfare as a whole.
The Cultural Fiesta comprised elegant performances by the students of the Iraqi and German Embassy Schools.
The finale “Our Quest for Peace” by the host school emphasised the need to live in a spirit of brotherhood and togetherness. However, the foot-tapping and mesmerising performances by the professional troupes from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Uzbekistan was the highlight of the day.
