106 shuttle buses, 60 more Metro trips to combat air pollution in Delhi
The decision came during a high-level meeting Rai held with the officials on the implementation of GRAP-III restrictions in the city.

The trial run on the 3.2 kilometre-long Escorts Mujesar-Ballabgarh section of Delhi Metro’s Violet Line is nearing completion and the Metro connection from Escorts Mujesar to Ballabhgarh in Haryana will be inaugurated by December this year.
Ballabhgarh will become the fourth city in Haryana to get the Metro connectivity after Gurugram, Faridabad and Bahadurgarh. Various safety measures, including signaling system, track position, civil construction and other issues were examined during the trial run by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety has also examined other technical issues and gave a clearance for the inauguration of the Ballabgarh extension line, which will have two stations ~ NCB Colony and Escorts Mujesar.
The construction of the Escorts Mujesar-Ballabhgarh Metro connection, a 568 crore project, had started in 2015. Metro trains on this stretch will run between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. During peak hours their frequency will be three minutes and during nonpeak hours they will operate within a gap of every 8-12 minutes. The fares will be decided in accordance with the existing fare chart of the DMRC.
After the opening of this extension, the entire Kashmere Gate-Ballabhgarh Metro corridor will become 46.6 kms long. Currently, 25.8 kms of Metro lines are operational across Haryana. After the opening of this section, the total length of Metro in Haryana will become 29 kms.
The Noida-Greater Noida Metro Corridor, a 29.7 km stretch, comprising 21 Metro stations, constructed by the Noida Metro Rail Corporation is also under trial and will be inaugurated by early next year, the official said.
