Kejriwal knows his role in liquor scam: Virendra Sachdeva

Kejriwal evading ED summons proves he is scared to face probe: Sachdeva

Stepping up his attack, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Saturday said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal knows his “role” in the alleged liquor scam.

The statement of Sachdeva came after Kejriwal via video conferencing appeared before the Rouse Avenue Court in connection with a complaint filed by the ED over his alleged non-compliance of its summons.

“Kejriwal today sought appearance postponement in the court citing a trust vote (in Delhi Assembly). This trust vote has not been brought by the Opposition (BJP), by the government itself just to seek postponement in the court and ED hearings by misleading the court,” he said here.

Asserting that the Chief Minister is now walking on the path shown by former chief minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren, by postponing his court and ED appearances, the Delhi BJP chief said, “Whether it is the matter of ED summons or the related case in the concerned court, the way Kejriwal is avoiding appearing at the doorstep of justice indicates that he knows his role in the liquor scam is a confirmed one, and ultimately his arrest is certain.”

“No matter how much Kejriwal walks on Hemant Soren’s path, he should understand that the end of this path is predetermined to end in jail,” he added.

Notably, on 14th February, the ED sent a fresh summons to Kejriwal, for the sixth time after he skipped five previous summons issued by the probe agency. He was asked to appear before it on 19th February for questioning in connection with the alleged liquor scam.
