Independence Day: Blood donation camp in Delhi’s Tri Nagar

On the occasion of Independence Day, Samrpeet Health and Education Society organised a memorable blood donation camp on Sunday for the army in collaboration with Armed forces Transfusion Centre at Tri Nagar in New Delhi.

A large number of youths came forward to serve their nation by donating blood.
Hundreds of blood units were donated. And more than 50 donors waited for long but couldn’t donate blood.
Chairman of the society Mr Ankit Bhardwaj in his small interaction stated that “In the past also we have organised various activities for armed forces and will keep on doing it in future.
Our aim is to inculcate a feeling of nationalism in the youth and wants to motivate all towards a donation of blood for the needy ones.
On 9 August 2024, just days before India’s 78th Independence Day, the brutal rape and murder of a 31-year-old trainee doctor at a state-run hospital in one of the country’s oldest cities sparked widespread fury, underscoring the persistent and pervasive violence against women that continues to plague the country.
As a part of celebration of India’s Independence, the 78th special colourful Independence Day was observed at Kidderpore Dock premises of SMP, Kolkata. Rathendra Raman, chairman, SMP, Kolkata unfurled the Tricolour at Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) barrack of SMP.
On the 78th Independence Day on Thursday, the Chief Minister hoisted the national flag in front of Vidhan Bhavan and marked the occasion by announcing the launch of a new initiative aimed at empowering the youth of Uttar Pradesh.
