The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has solved the sensational robbery case of Rs 3.75 crore from a businessman in Panipat, Haryana, by arresting one absconding gym trainer involved in the crime from Delhi’s Bhalswa Dairy area.
The arrested accused has been identified as Suraj, 25, a resident of Jahangir Puri, Delhi, who is being interrogated for further inquiry.

Special Commissioner of Police, Crime, Ravindra Singh Yadav said that a complaint regarding robbery was received on May 24, 2019 by Joginder Goel. The complainant stated that he is having a business of blankets in Panipat, Haryana.
It was alleged that on May 24, some boys entered his office at Anaj Mandi, Panipat and robbed cash Rs 3.75 crore at gunpoint.
On the complaint, a case under relevant sections was registered at Chandni Bagh police station and investigation was taken up.
It was revealed during investigation that employees of the complainant – Santosh Kumar and Sudhir – were involved in the robbery and both of them were arrested by the local police.
The accused disclosed during the interrogation that Sudhir and his nephew Sachin along with their other associates, namely, Narender, Sultan, Joginder, Kanhaiya, Aman, Ajay and Suraj executed the crime.
Police team further arrested accused Narender, Kanhaiya, Sultan, and Aman. However, accused Joginder, Ajay and Suraj were absconding.
Meanwhile, a team of the Crime Branch received secret information about Suraj. The information was developed and a team headed by Inspector Sandeep Swami and under the close supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Surender Kumar Gulia was constituted.
Based on the secret information, a trap was laid near Golf Course, Bhalswa Dairy, Delhi and accused Suraj was arrested from there.
The accused confessed to his involvement in the robbery of Rs 3.75 crore. During investigation, it came to the fore that he was working as a gym trainer earlier. Arrested accused Narender is the uncle of the accused Suraj. Further investigation is being carried out.
