Atishi visits Rangpuri, pledges swift action on civic issues
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi visited Rangpuri Pahadi in South West Delhi on Sunday to address grievances after Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena highlighted the area's civic challenges.
He inaugurates two all women police posts.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Sunday said that efforts are on to increase the strength of women in the Delhi Police to 33 per cent and with more participation of women into the police, the identity of the force will be of a more compassionate force.
The L-G while speaking to media after inaugurating two All Women Police Posts (AWPP) in Delhi said that at present the total strength of women in Delhi police was 15.17 per cent and the same will be increased, while a direct recruitment process was underway in this regard by the Delhi Police.

He also said that the target will be achieved in the next ten years.

Saxena lauded the initiative of having an all women post at the Shraddanand Police station and said that it was a historic move by the Delhi Police to have an all women post in a sensitive area and this initiative will provide the women victims a platform to voice their concerns.
He further asserted that there is a need to have AWPPs so that the women who are affected can voice their concerns, and share their problem with a women police officers with ease.
Delhi LG inaugurated the two all women police posts in presence of Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora and other senior Delhi Police officials at Shraddhanand Marg Police Station and Khan Market.
The L-G briefly interacted with the residents present at the program and also motivated the women personnel posted there to work hard in the service of the people.
He was also briefed about the area and crime profile.
SI Kiran Sethi has been posted as IC/PP Sharddhanand Marg Police Post supported by women staff.
The inauguration of the AWPPs heralds a new era of inclusivity and efficiency in policing.
