Delhi Public School, Rohini has hosted the Inter-DPS English literary festival –‘Lit Saga 2022’.
The event, which was held on 26 November, was an amalgamation of intellect, aesthetics and creativity of English Literature.
It comprised eleven categories of offsite, onsite and non- competitive events. The offsite events included ‘Folktale Fanatics’ – promoting a folktale through advertisement, ‘Word Games’ – Designing a vocabulary game, ‘LitPhotography’ – Redesigning a book cover and ‘Palindrome’– Mirror Poetry.
The Onsite events included ‘Timeless Puppets’ – The Human Puppet Show, ‘The Id, the Ego and the Superego’ – Portraying a negative character in a positive role, ‘Page-to-Stage’- a comic relief scene from a Shakespearean play and ‘Janus-faced’: a monologue. In addition to this, there was a special segment called, ‘Adventures in the Literary Land’ which included Pen Wizards- Budding Authors Talk, ‘A Canvas for the Literati’ which was a surprise event and Round Robin: Panel discussion centering around the theme of, Transgender Narratives: The Unheard Voices.
The valedictory ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The Principal Mrs Kanika Sachdeva Govi felicitated the guests. Ms Namita Pradhan Honorary Treasurer-The DPS Society, Chairperson Managing Committee – DPS Rohini and the patron of the event and Ms. Dolly Chanana Joint Director – The DPS Society and Convener of the event.
