A government employee, posted at DC office of West Delhi, allegedly killed himself in a hotel room located in Meerut’s Sadar Bazar.
Meerut police recovered the body along with a suicide note from the hotel room on Friday. In his suicide note, the deceased has held a woman colleague responsible for his actions.

Police also recovered his identity card, a bottle of pesticide, driving licence and Rs 2,900 from his room. The police have have identified the deceased as Naveen Kumar.
Police said that investigation in the case has begun and are scanning hotel’s CCTV footage for further information. A team will also be sent to his office and investigate the charges made by the deceased in the suicide note, said police.
The hotel staff opened the door of the room on suspicion as the room had remained closed for three days to find the body. The staff then reported the incident to the police.
In his suicide note, Naveen claimed that a woman colleague of his office was responsible for his death. He wrote that she was compelling him to have physical relations with her and when he refused, she charged him with false allegation of rape.
Naveen, who had checked in a room of Karnail hotel in Meerut on June 13, in his suicide note had also mentioned that he had contemplated commiting suicide on 12 June but could not gather courage to do so.
