In one of the rare incidents that happened at the Delhi Airport, a pregnant woman waiting for a flight at Terminal-3 of the airport, gave birth to a baby boy at the terminal itself.

The Delhi Airport welcomed the arrival of its “youngest passenger ever” on its twitter handle, as this is the first time a child has taken birth at the airport. The infant along, with his mother, is being taken care of at the Medanta Clinic of the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

According to sources, the woman was scheduled to board a flight to Karnataka’s Hubli on Tuesday morning, along with her husband, from T-3. She had gone to the washroom at the airport where she started having labour pain.

She was immediately taken to a nearby medical facility available at the terminal at around 9.30 am and with the help of doctors the delivered her baby in 20 minutes’ time.
