The victim’s parents, who run a grocery shop, suspected Awadhesh after he stopped visiting their house for the last three days, as he was a frequent visitor earlier and had also assisted them in the beginning to trace the child.
It was further revealed that Awadesh had lied to the family and had told them that he is currently working for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Whereas, Awadesh had told police that he was preparing for a competitive examination and also appeared for a UPSC examination once.
While, the accused kept changing his statement to the police and after probing, he finally broke down and confessed to his crime, as per media reports.
