He alleged that the ruling dispensation in the Centre is finishing all the institutions one by one, people are suffering from unemployment and other issues, the elections are being ‘stolen,’ while opposition leaders are being put behind bars to win elections, and therefore the country needs an honest and strong alternative, he added.

To address the issues of the nation and its people, the parties have formed an alliance, with an intention that the country is above the party, party is secondary, he said further.

He further expressed that the upcoming election will be contested with combined might, “not that AAP will contest from one place and Congress from other, INDIA will contest the election together.”

On replying to a question, The leaders also said that the future course of action regarding campaigning and other things will be soon chalked out with discussions.

Speaking about Punjab where parties are contesting separately, Pathak said situations in the state are different and known to all and therefore parties have mutually decided to contest separately.

He also said that the public is sensible enough and there will be no confusion regarding the decision of Punjab.

Speaking at the sidelines of the press conference, Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Singh Lovely also said that AAP and Congress are a part of the INDIA alliance and it will contest against the BJP across the country and in Delhi also it will have a long lasting impact.

He further claimed that it was not only AAP or Congress’s fight, but the fight of the country.
