A case of alleged sexual assault on a boy of class IV at a child protection home located in Malviya Nagar has come to light. A case has been registered under POCSO Act by the police based on a complaint made on behalf of the founder of the shelter home and the testimony of the victim.

In his statement, the victim said the incident took place on the night of November 28 when he had gone to sleep after dinner. After sometime, the accused person, living in the same home, came to his bed quietly and physically assaulted him.

When he raised alarm, while resisting his assault, the accused gagged him and thrashed him. After committing the crime, the accused left the victim not before threatening him with dire consequences if complained to anyone about the incident.

The complaint against the accused was made on December 1, when the founder and caretaker of the protection home came to know about the incident.
