Atishi visits Rangpuri, pledges swift action on civic issues
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi visited Rangpuri Pahadi in South West Delhi on Sunday to address grievances after Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena highlighted the area's civic challenges.
The Delhi Congress chief called the move a proof of the fact that the MPs are “incompetent and did not do anything for the welfare of the people”.
Delhi Congress president Arvinder Singh Lovely on Sunday claimed that the BJP was planning to replace its “non-performing” sitting MPs in Delhi in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Addressing party workers at meetings organised at Vikaspuri and Nazirpur, said it was a proof of the fact that they are “incompetent and did not do anything for the welfare of the people”.

He said the BJP owed an apology to the people of Delhi as it’s MPs “ran away” from their responsibility after getting elected when people wanted their presence in their constituencies the most.

“In the last two Lok Sabha elections, the BJP dropped non-performing MPs to evade the questions about their ‘missing’ parliamentarian from the people in Delhi,” Lovely said.
He exhorted the party workers to expose the “failures and non-performance” of the BJP MPs.
Calling upon them to strengthen the party at the booth level, the Delhi Congress chief said, “Congress can achieve its target only if the party strength was consolidated at the grassroots level.”
It may be mentioned that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress drew a blank.
