Sisodia tweeted: “I am happy to share that Anand Kumar has agreed to conduct one class every month for Delhi Govt school students. This will be an online, virtual classroom for Class 11 and 12 students of our schools”.

While interacting with students, Kumar said, “I have come to the conclusion that these ‘happiness classes’ are extremely beneficial for the students. It is clear that the children in this school are relatively free of the stresses that plague students nowadays. This is a positive sign for the children, the school and for the country’s future. Schools across the country need to adopt this curriculum. Children learn best only when they are meaningfully engaged, free from stress and interested in school and its activities.”

The Delhi government schools have organised a 15-day-long “Happiness Utsav”, which began from 16 July. The “Happiness Utsav” has been organised to celebrate the first year of the “Happiness Curriculum”.

In this event, 50 minutes of each day in the school are being dedicated to the festival with all students taking part in it.

“Happiness classes” include involving children in various activities like painting, meditation, motivational talks with teachers and other such activities.
