Two youths killed as motorcycle rams into guardrail at flyover in Kolkata
Two youths were killed as a motorcycle they were riding on rammed into a guardrail at a flyover in Kolkata on Sunday morning.
Ved Prakash Khatri was hit by an over-speeding black Honda City while he was crossing the Delhi-Meerut highway on September 1.
30-year-old software engineer, Ved Prakash Khatri succumbed to his injuries two days after he was hit by a car at Delhi-Meerut GT road in Ghaziabad’s Moti Nagar area. Khatri was admitted to Yashoda hospital in Modinagar where he breathed his last on Tuesday morning.
Working as a software engineer in Gurugram, Khatri had gone to see his parents over the weekend at his house in Modinagar. Khatri was hit by an over-speeding black Honda City while he was crossing the Delhi-Meerut highway on September 1. According to eye-witnesses, there were two vehicles which were seen racing on the street. The culprits were speeding the vehicle in a reckless way and managed to escape from the location instantly.

“It was a medical-legal case (MLC) and the patient was brought in on September 1 at 11:06 pm,” an official at the hospital said.

A CT scan was conducted on the victim, which revealed that Khatri sustained a brain injury with multiple blood clots. Doctors tried constantly to stabilise his blood pressure. However, his condition worsened on Monday evening.
