Mercury rises by 2 degrees in Delhi
The national capital saw a surge of 2 degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature in the past 24-hours on Monday, the weather department said.
A 45-year-old woman was allegedly stripped and beaten up as she tried to save her landlady from an attack from her family members.
The incident was reported from southwest Delhi’s Palam area earlier this week.
According to media reports, the landlady was reportedly being assaulted by her own family members. Her son and her daughter-in-law were allegedly beating her. When the woman intervened, she was also brutally thrashed by them.

A video of the incident has gone viral on social media where the victim is seen walking with her clothes torn and bruises all over her body.
The woman filed a police complaint on Wednesday. In her complaint to the police, the woman said when she started to run, they chased her and tore her clothes.
The police have registered a case in the matter.
According to the police, the landlady had ousted her son and daughter-in-law from her house.
The son used to visit the landlady but his wife was not allowed to enter the house, they added.
