Delhi school’s push for building new India

Emphasising on the need of building new India, students of Springdales School held a cultural event here that beautifully showcased India’s tryst with freedom.

The  Dhaula Kuan branch of the school held the gala event on Monday in celebration of the 71st Independence Day. The students reminisced the relentless struggles of the freedom fighters, who laid the foundation of a great nation which strength lies in diversity and multiculturalism.

On the vibrant occasion, Springdales’ principal Jyoti Bose motivated the students to shoulder the responsibility of building a new India, which illuminates the world with its philosophy of unity in diversity.

The students shed light on the challenges faced by India in 71 years of freedom and the proactive role to be played by the youth in building a secular and liberal country ‘where the mind is without fear and the head is held high’.

Former Chief Scientist of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (SCIR), Gauhar Raza, graced the occasion as chief guest for the I-Day event.

Reciting one of his self-composed poems, Raza inspired the students to work on making their dreams into reality. He also spoke on the power of an idea that is instrumental in sculpting one’s destiny.

The cultural finale ‘This land is your land’ then took the audience on a trip to a lively panorama of diverse India.
