On Saturday, she held discussions with her lawyers and also her father at Pragathi Bhavan. The Chief Minister is scheduled to visit New Delhi next week to open the office in the National Capital.
Kavitha was learnt to have told the investigators that her name did not figure in the complaint lodged by the Ministry of Home Affairs. But the Enforcement Directorate had included her name in the remand report of an accused Amit Arora.
According to the report, Kavitha was part of the South Group comprising Aurobindo Pharma, Director, Sarath Reddy, and YSRCP MP, Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, who paid kickbacks to the Aam Admi Party (AAP)through Vijay Nair.
Further, it was alleged that Kavitha had changed phones often to destroy digital evidence. While Kavitha had said she would cooperate with the investigators, she had lashed out at BJP for resorting to cheap tricks and ruining her reputation.
Meanwhile, BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, attacked K Chandrasekhar Rao, and Kavitha and took to Twitter. “KCR’s government is Abkari (Excise) Sarkar! BRS slogan is Ab ki bar Abkari Sarkar! BRS MLAs can never become chief minister as KRC will only make his son chief minister.
Come along with BJP and let’s break open Pragathi Bhava. KCR and BRS will be shooed away by police first after BJP forms government in Telangana.”
He further added: “KCR’s daughter brought shame onto the state by getting involved in liquor scam. Why should people protest raids against her.”
