World’s highest polling station in Himachal records 100% voting
The village located at a height of 15,256 feet above sea-level is in Lahaul and Spiti district of the state.
State BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti on Friday accused the government of violating model code of conduct in Himachal and said some officials who had proximity with Congress leaders are being given appointments and postings at new places.
Satti said the government has no right to make new transfers and postings as the model code of conduct is in place till new government is formed in the state.
“However, it has came to our notice some officials are given appointments at new places in key departments which is in violation of set rules,” he said. In addition, the Congress government is giving postings and transferring its near and dear ones in important departments. Satti urged the Election Commission of India to take cognizance of the issue and take action against such violations.
