The Uttar Pradesh Congress alleged that Prime Minister Modi and BJP were making every possible effort to stop people from joining the INDIA bloc by harassing them or breaking the morale of the leaders of these parties through the ED, CBI, and the IT Department.

State Congress President Ajay Rai said in the press statement here on Friday that the BJP government was taking revenge from the Opposition parties for its defeat in the elections out of frustration.

“As soon as the foundation of the INDIA was formed, the BJP realised a nationwide alliance of the Opposition parties had been formed to prevent plunder of the country’s resources and save democracy,” he said.

Rai called Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest a strong proof that whoever joins INDIA and does not bow down to Modi would be sent to jail.

He recalled how Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was subjected to the same tactics. He too refused to bow down.

“The dictatorial Modi Government first broke Shiv Sena with the help of ED/CBI, then broke NCP. Before that Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal and those who joined BJP like Hemant Vishwasharma, Shubhendu Adhikari, Ajit Pawar, Bhavana Gawli, Yamini Jadhav, Hasan Munsarif, were released from the clutches of ED/CBI,” he claimed.

The State Congress president said the BJP has no moral ground to accuse the others after the Modi Government committed the biggest electoral bond scam in the history of independent India.

“INDIA under the leadership of Congress Party National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will fight in the people’s court and will urge the people of the country to teach a lesson to the dictatorial and corrupt BJP government and remove them from power,” he asserted.
