Addressing the media, Gehlot said, “Delhi Congress has decided to include ‘Jeevan Raksha Yojana’ in its manifesto. Under the scheme, health insurance of Rs 25 lakh will be provided. We started a similar scheme in Rajasthan also, in which free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh was given to the people of the state.”
The senior Congress leader asserted that the JRY will be similar to Rajasthan’s Chiranjeevi Yojana.“Jeevan Raksha Yojana will be similar to Chiranjeevi Yojana of Rajasthan. This yojana will be a game changer for Delhi,” he said.
The party’s Delhi in-charge Nizamuddin said, “The Congress party has come before the public with its second guarantee for the Delhi Assembly elections. The guarantees that we are promising are already in place under our Congress-ruled states.”
Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi ,he said, “The public trusts Rahul Gandhi and the Congress because our party never lies like Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
The Delhi Congress chief said the JRY will give assurance to the people of Delhi about the safety of their lives.
Attacking the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi and the BJP-led government at the Centre, Yadav said, “There is poison in the air of Delhi, the water is contaminated and the food is adulterated. Due to this, Delhi is gripped by serious diseases. Whenever the public is in need, the health systems of the Central and Delhi governments completely collapse.”
The AAP government made many promises regarding health facilities but did not do any work, he alleged.
It may be mentioned that the Congress on Monday announced the ‘Pyari Didi Yojana’, to provide Rs 2,500 to every woman per month in a bid to woo the voters.
