Odisha CM slams BJD on malnutrition issue
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the previous Naveen Patnaik-led Biju Janata Dal government over the malnutrition issue.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Software Technology Park of JSS and hoped that with STP the park will meet the needs of budding entrepreneurs by providing them with a gamut of services.
The economic growth rate of Odisha has been consistently surpassing the national average and Odisha has performed far better than other States in reduction of poverty and other indicators of human resource development, said the CM.
“Our progressive policies have become a model for other States to emulate. Today Odisha is one of the fastest growing economies of the country and has become a major investment destination.

Major IT companies like Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, TCS, MindTree, HDFC Bank have already invested in the state and many of them are in the process of expansion,” stated the CM.
Software Technology Parks of India stations are located in areas of Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Rourkela and Berhampur.
A proposed Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) incubation centre and an Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) in the State, which will house IT, ITES, Electronics Hardware Manufacturing and Research and Development Centre is to be established.
A rural Business Process Outsourcing scheme to promote establishment of BPO units, he said. He expressed happiness that private software technology parks like JSS are being set up with support from STPI, Government of India.
