“ Punjab now has become a headless state. The Aam Aadmi Party government, especially, Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, has abdicated his moral and Constitutional responsibility to ensure peace and communal harmony. The state has been handed over to a circle of gangs where a section of ministers has stopped performing. The police and the bureaucracy are in a state of drift,” saisd the SAD chief in the meeting.
He said although all the people in the state are feeling unsafe, the urban people, mostly, have started fearing at midnight because of rampant extortion and ransom.
Later talking to reporters , senior leader Dr Daljit Singh Cheema blamed a nexus between “ the government and the land-sharks” for the displacement of many innocent families who have been living peacefully for decades.”
“Even if there was a legal issue involved, the government displayed its brutal insensitivity to handl the situation where poor people have been thrown to the roads in shivering cold.
Dr Cheema, also slammed the National Commission Chairman, S Iqbal Singh Lalpura, for his studied silence on the denial of scholarship to students from the minority communities.
