BJP accuses Congress of poll code violation for releasing manifesto in ‘silence period’
BJP MP Sambit Patra criticised Rahul Gandhi for allegedly disregarding the Election Commission’s authority and continually speaking against it.

The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday slammed the Congress for using pictures of singer Moosewala, who was shot dead last month, in an election song released by the Opposition party for the Sangrur Lok Sabha bypoll.
Lamenting over politicising the unfortunate death of popular singer Sidhu Moosewala by the Opposition, AAP candidate Gurmail Singh slammed Congress for using slain singers’ photos in the party’s election song released yesterday in favor of the party candidate Dalvir Singh Goldy for upcoming Sangrur bypolls.
“A mother has lost her son but it is appalling that Congress is trying to get mileage from his death in the elections. Congress should resist using such tactics and hurt sentiments of family and fans,” AAP candidate Gurmail Singh said during his poll campaign.

Lambasting the Opposition for targeting the AAP government for the alleged deterioration of the law and order situation in the state, Gurmail said gangsters were patronised by successive governments for the past 70 years and now they are putting all the blame on Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led AAP government’s three-month governance.
