Mayor asks officials to ensure completion of projects MLALAD fund
Delhi Mayor Mahesh Kumar on Monday asked officials to ensure that all projects that are being undertaken under the MLALAD fund are completed at the earliest.
A three-day-long Chandigarh National Rose festival is all set to start from Friday.
This is the 46th edition of annual rose festival, Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh (MCC) officials said, adding that various competitions will be organised in the festival.

The competitions will be ranging from best garden, roundabout, campus and parks maintained by Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) on Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) basis, Rose Prince and Rose Princess Competition, Brass and pipe band competition, spot painting competition, rose quiz competition, folk dance, photography, Antakshri and kite flying.

For the first time, MCC has decided to organise the newly-wed couple competition. The couples married between 1 February, 2017 to 1 February, 2018 can participate in the event.
The participation fee will be Rs 1,100 per couple.
There are 829 varieties of roses over 1,400 rose beds comprising 42,000 rose plants in the garden.
