BJP challenges AAP to respect religious sentiments amid Navratri debate
Delhi BJP Spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor on Monday criticised the Bhagwant Mann led government over its stance on the labelling of meat shops.
Ahead of the assembly elections in Delhi, scheduled for February 5, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Madan Mohan and his wife Sudeshwati, a former councilor, joined the AAP on Tuesday in presence of Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh.

Ahead of the assembly elections in Delhi, scheduled for February 5, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Madan Mohan and his wife Sudeshwati, a former councilor, joined the AAP on Tuesday in presence of Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh.
Mohan had unsuccessfully contested assembly elections in 2013 as BSP candidate and again in 2015 as a Congress nominee. However, after losing the election, he again returned to the BSP before joining the AAP.

Speaking on the joining of politician couple, Singh said, It will strengthen the AAP as they come from a well-established political family, with significant experience wherein Mohan himself has contested Assembly elections in the past, and his wife has served as a Municipal Councillor twice.

“With full confidence, I can say that the AAP will achieve a resounding victory in the Palam Assembly constituency. Our candidate from the constituency is Joginder Solanki and it is through the dedicated efforts of Solanki and Pawan Sharma that this family has decided to join the party,” Singh added.
On joining the AAP, the BSP leader expressed his gratitude to everyone for welcoming him into the party. “Leaving the BSP, I am now joining this family, and everyone from the Bahujan Samaj associated with me will fully support Joginder Solanki”.

The AAP on Sunday alleged that the ruling BJP-led Delhi government has dispensed with the Farishtey scheme in the recently-present Delhi Budget.
