Body of minor found in Bengal’s Basanti
Body of a missing minor girl, suspected to be a victim of rape and murder, was recovered from a field at Basanti in South 24-Parganas district on Monday evening.
The body of a 30-year-old man was found hanging from the ceiling at his residence in New Mandi area in Muzaffarnagar district, police said on Wednesday.
Jagdish Pandey’s body was found hanging yesterday, they said.

The police suspect it to be a case of suicide. They, however, said the reason behind Pandey’s step was not yet clear.

The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
An investigation was underway.
