The insensitivity of the ‘Dial 100’ cops claimed the life of an elderly man in Saharanpur. The cops did not take the profusely bleeding injured man in the vehicle, leading to his death.
The family and relatives of the deceased protested outside the Kotwali, accusing the police of negligence. They also lodged a complaint, alleging murder, against unidentified people.

Kishan Lal (60) was found lying on road near Dhamola river of the district on Thursday. He was a resident of Ramzaanpura and worked in Chaudhary Nursery at Behat road. It was not clear how Kishan Lal got injured.

AFter Kishan Lal was found lying in a pool of blood, somebody called the police at 100. Soon, a police team reached the spot, but since he was drenched in blood, the cops did not take him to the hospital in their vehilce. Later, the Kotwali (rural) police rushed him to the hospital where he was declared dead.
He could have survived had he been taken to hospital early, said Manoj Kumar, the son of the victim. Manoj told the media that when he and his two brothers reached the spot, the ‘Dial 100’ team was there and his father was lying in a pool of blood.  He said the cops didn’t take his father to the hospital as he was bleeding badly and died for want of medical aid.
When the matter was brought to the notice of SSP Babbloo Kumar, he assured to look into the matter.
This, however, was not for the first time that the insensitivity of ‘Dial 100’ team was witnessed in Saharanpur. In January this year, two injured youths at Behat also died as the cops refused to take them to the hospital.
The youths were injured in an accident and were bleeding badly. The cops did not take them to the hospital for the fear that blood may soil the vehicle.
