Haryans’s Sultanpur & Bhindawas get Ramsar sites tag
Taking note of the loss and degradation of wetland habitat for migratory waterbirds, Iran's coastal city Ramsar city hosted the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance in 1971.
The black-necked stork whose beak had got stuck in a plastic ring was on Friday set free after treatment in Sultanpur National Park, Gurugram.
The black-necked stork was rescued two days ago in order to relieve a rubber ring which had lodged itself around its beak and was
preventing consumption of food. The forest minister, Rao Narbir Singh, set free the bird after treatment in Sultanpur National Park, Gurugram.
