The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) units from Haryana and Chandigarh, on Saturday staged a protest against the alleged killing of Rashtriya Swamsewak Sangh (RSS) and party activists in Kerala.
The protest was headed by the Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala and party’s Chandigarh president Sanjay Tandon.
BJP leaders from Haryana, including Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Kumar Bedi, Panchkula MLA Gian Chand Gupta, and Chandigarh Mayor Asha Jaswal also participated in the protest called ‘Janraksha Yatra’ which was started from Sewa Dham.

However, the BJP leaders and workers were stopped at a barricade by the Chandigarh Police’s personnel near the CPM office in Sector 30. The Police even had to use water cannon to disperse the protesters, who tried to cross the barricade.
Both Barala and Tandon said that they were holding a peaceful protest march against the brutal killing of BJP and RSS workers in Kerala.
