Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta on Monday said that Delhi Assembly is the forum to raise citizens’ issues during its ‘Question Hour’, and alleged that, unfortunately, the Kejriwal government has denied this Constitutional opportunity to BJP MLAs.
He further said that now the BJP MLAs will not let the trend continue, and based on the strength of citizens’ complaint forms, the BJP legislators will raise the complaints, and stall the Assembly till CM Atishi responds.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva along with Gupta launched a campaign, with the aim to know the problems faced by the people of the city. The campaign will continue till September 25. The issues will be raised in the legislative assembly, the Delhi BJP said.
The BJP has named the campaign “Janta Ka Mudda Assembly Mein,” through which the saffron party will collect information from people regarding their issues.
After the campaign started from the iconic Connaught Place, Sachdeva spoke to a woman and her daughter who had come from Ashok Nagar, and shared the issues affecting their area.
The mother-daughter duo filled in the complaint form given by Delhi BJP chief, where they listed major issues faced by people in their area including dirty water supply, waterlogging, dirty unmaintained colony parks and e-rickshaw’s blocking traffic.
According to the Delhi BJP, most people who filled in the complaint forms wanted the BJP MLAs to raise issues such as inflated electricity bills, dirty water supply, irregular social welfare pension, encroachments, lack of civic amenities, e- rickshaws issues and the lack of proper health and education facilities.
Sachdeva further informed that BJP workers who are going door-to-door, as part of the party’s membership campaign, will get complaint forms filled by the people of the city and submit to the LoP Vijender Gupta, who will then shortlist issues to be raised in the Delhi Assembly.
BJP MLAs Ajay Mahawar, O P Sharma, Mohan Singh Bisht, Abhay Verma, Anil Vajpayee and Delhi BJP media chief Praveen Shankar Kapoor were also present on the occasion. They got complaint forms filled in by the common public near Palika Bazaar in Connaught Place.
