A man was held with fake currency from Raxaul town in Bihar’s East Champaran district, a Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) official said today.
The 47th battalion SSB jawans nabbed Ashish Kumar Mishra with counterfeit currency notes with face value of Rs 94,000 during checking at Pantoka Border Outpost (BOP) on the Indo-Nepal border yesterday evening, Commandant Sonam Tshering said.
The seized fake currency was in denomination of Rs 2,000, he said, adding, that a Rs 20 note in Pakistani currency was also recovered from Mishra.
Tshering said Mishra was being interrogated for more details.
