DU postpones DUSU poll result to November 25 from 21
The dates for counting of votes for colleges and departments have alose been revised. It take place on Sunday (November 24), instead of November 21, it added.
Swayamsiddha, is an annual event organized by ABVP led DUSU to honour female students studying at Delhi University in various fields of academics, extracurricular activities, NCC, NSS and sports.
BJP leader Bansuri Swaraj on Thursday felicitated 1,000 women students studying at Delhi University in an event organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in collaboration with Mission Sahasi.

Speaking at the event, Swaraj stated, “As women we have this unique power to lead and transform the society. Today we have all the means to eradicate all the obstacles that refrain women from reaching our potential but we must know how to utilize them”.

Speaking about the saffron organization, Swaraj added that ABVP is the only student organization that has been at the service of Maa Bharti since its inception. As ABVP karyakartas, responsibility lies on your shoulders to contribute to the nation’s growth.
Speaking about women empowerment, Professor Arun Kumar Atree, Principal Shaheed Bhagat Singh College , stated, “ABVP led DUSU by organizing this event Swayamsiddha portrays the right idea today that our women are not fragile and weak. They rather possess the strength to fight all the obstacles and emerge as excelled individuals.”
While ABVP National Secretary, Shivangi Kharwal stated, “the idea of Swayamsiddha evolved with the noble initiative to spread the message that women are independent and no force in the world can restrain them”. Through Swayamsiddha, girls have had the opportunity to be active in the society and stand out in various fields, added Kharwal.
