Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Monday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said she looks forward to full cooperation between the Centre and her government for the welfare and progress of the national capital.
This was Atishi’s maiden meeting with the prime minister after she took over as the Chief Minister of Delhi following the resignation of Arvind Kejriwal from the post.

Apprising about the meeting, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in a post on X wrote, “Chief Minister of Delhi, Atishi called on PM Narendra Modi.”
The PMO also shared a photograph in which the Delhi Chief Minister can be seen giving a bouquet to the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, Atishi in a post on X while informing about the meeting, wrote, “Called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji today. I look forward to full cooperation between the Centre and the Delhi government for the welfare and progress of our capital.”
Earlier, she had called on President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here.
“Called on President Droupadi Murmu ji at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Look forward to her support for the welfare of the people of Delhi,” she wrote on X after her maiden meeting with the President.
Later, the Chief Minister also called on Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar at the Vice President’s enclave in the city.
“Chief Minister of Delhi, Atishi ji, called on the Vice-President, Jagdeep Dhankhar at the Vice-President’s Enclave,” Dhankar’s office said in a social media post.
On 21st September, Atishi took oath as the new Chief Minister of Delhi, in a ceremony held at the Raj Niwas here. Other than the CM, five cabinet ministers were also sworn in along with her.
