Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Wednesday called on Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and understood to have discussed the implementation of border roads projects in the hill state, which shares border with China.
Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, who is also an MP from Arunachal Pradesh was also present in the meeting.
Official sources said the implementation of various roads projects in the state by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), a Defence Ministry entity, was discussed in the meeting
Earlier, Sitharaman also called on Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan separately.
