Bihar bypolls: NDA leading on three seats, BSP on one
National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates were leading on three seats while Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) was ahead on one seat as trends for the Bihar bypolls started pouring in on Saturday.
Veteran politician and former MLA, Mr Arun Dey condemned culture of political violence being initiated in Odisha by the BJP and the failure of the police administration to prevent incidents like hurling of shoes or eggs at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr Dey said in recent months such incidents have been on the rise in the state. It is not a mere coincidence that the BJP has also started capitalising on the abysmal failure of the Congress in the state, he noted.
Odisha will go the UP way, he warned while admonishing the police administration to act. “Barely 20 days ago BJP activists were involved in throwing eggs on the CM in Bhograi. The party did not hesitate to campaign with the lady who had hurled eggs.

This is a shame and a shocking trend in politics. It is clear that the BJP can do anything to try and grab power. It was egg then shoes and God knows what next”, he remarked. The police administration has failed.
The intelligence wing has collapsed, charged Dey while stating top police officers are sitting in comfort at Bhubaneswar without doing their work. A police administration which cannot protect the Chief Minister of a state, cant be expected to safeguard the common man, chided Dey.
