In a swift response to Delhi LG highlighting the civic issues faced by people, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday directed the chief secretary to address the shortcomings pointed out within seven days.
The CM’s orders came after LG’s social media post where he sought Kejriwal’s attention to people’s civic woes regarding sewer, garbage disposal, condition of roads and others.

Kejriwal has also sought a daily action taken report in this connection from the chief secretary by 5 pm till March 12, which he has kept as the target for the CS to address the shortcomings pointed by the LG.
Meanwhile, the AAP in this regard has questioned whether the LG will take any action against the CS, in case he does not follow the orders given by the Delhi CM.
Vinai Kumar Saxena had visited Sangam Vihar and other areas on request from the locals and took stock of the civic woes faced by them in the form of overflowing drains, broken streets, and waste disposal issues.
LG had shared pictures on his social media handle on the platform X, where he had tagged the Delhi CM, in a bid to draw his attention to people’s woes, saying they were living a hellish life.
It was on Monday that the Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva had slammed the AAP government alleging that it keeps pumping funds into Delhi Jal Board and claims of laying water and sewerage pipe lines in 98 per cent of unauthorised colonies, but the BJP leader said that reality was different, which is that over 75 per cent of the unauthorized colonies are still dependent on water tankers and septic tanks for toilet waste disposal.
