The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday announced that it would not contest the forthcoming Assembly elections in Maharashtra.

The Aam Aadmi Party on Friday launched its campaign for the Lok Sabha elections in the national capital with a call to voters to elect and support all INDIA bloc candidates to ensure their voice is heard in a better way at Parliament.
Delhi Chief Minister and AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann, and Gopal Rai among other party leaders were present during the launch of the poll campaign at the party headquarters.
Addressing a press conference here, Arvind Kejriwal called his party leaders ordinary people entrusted with a big responsibility by the people of Delhi, and that he and his party consider every family in Delhi as their own and connect with their problems and issues.

Highlighting the achievements of the AAP government in Delhi, he alleged that the BJP-led Central government created hurdles in the way of governance while their MPs did not do anything for the city.
The chief minister urged the people to elect all INDIA bloc candidates with an assurance to raise their voices in Parliament and ensure no hurdle is created in any of the city’s work that falls under Central agencies like the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), the Delhi Police, etc.
On the occasion, Kejriwal gave the slogan “Sansad mein bhi Kejriwal tabhi Delhi hogi Khushhal” to his party’s Lok Sabha campaign.
“You give us seven MPs, we will ensure all your work is done as then no Central agency will be able to put a stumbling block in our way,” the chief minister assured.
Kejriwal said party workers would visit every household in Delhi with a request for the support. He sought the support and blessings of every resident of Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Mann recounted how in ten years the AAP has become a national party with its governments in two states with the support of the people. He solicited the same support from the people for the party for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Mann said the AAP leaders are so dedicated to the cause of the public that they never get tired of serving them. Hence, he requested the people to consolidate the party by electing its candidates.
