412 students receive degree at XUB convocation

A total of 412 students consisting of doctoral students, Business Management students, Global MBA, Executive MBA’s as well as Urban Management and Governance students received their degree at the Convocation of Xavier University here on Monday.

Ms Rekha Menon, the Chairman and Senior Managing Director at Accenture in India, Member National Executive Council, NASSCOM and Member, National Executive Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in India’s Council, delivered the Convocation address.

She urged upon students to explore what inspired and motivated them, take risks and be willing to experiment. The event commenced with the welcome address by Registrar & Secretary, Fr. E. A. Augustine, S J He advised the graduating students to be courageous, bold and always be ready to face challenges.

Vice Chancellor Fr. Paul Fernandes, S J emphasised the fact that the students need to be fair, just, socially responsible managers and live the extraordinary challenges in this dynamic world.

Chairman, Rajiv Kaul wished that the graduating students of the institute, with all their learning and experience would be able to contribute towards a strong, vibrant and commanding India.

Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB) was established in accordance with the Xavier University Act 2013 and was inaugurated on the 7th of July 2014.

XUB is India’s first digital University and an institution of higher learning for imparting professional and technical education.
